Kenedi Goes Back Home
Želimir Žilnik
Serbia, Germany, 2003, 75’
Kenedi is a “larger than life” character who tells us about the lives of Yugoslavs who left their country, torn apart in the 90s, and who lived for over ten years in Western Europe as refugees or in exile. Since 2002, the European Union have been sending many of these people, mostly Roma, back to Serbia, where they often settle in shantytowns.
