In Bloom

Two teenagers maintain their friendship in 1992 Tbilisi, shaken by the civil war and the aftermath of a coup. The film narrates accelerated growth and shattered illusions, and chronicles personal reluctance to the violence rationale. Such questioning is shared by some contemporary Georgian film-makers, and it slows down the stories and their vertigo in order to preserve the evocation of the long bright days from the original title.
