The family saga of three generations haunted by the extraordinary, yet undocumented, accomplishment by its patriarch: swimming across the Black Sea between Batumi and Poti. The son sets himself to repeat the feat, but is the victim of Stalin’s repression. The grandson witnesses the efforts of a film crew to tell the whole story, which is also the country’s submerged story.
