The Chant of Tiber’s Branches

La canta delle marane

A vibrant and sensual perspective on the dissolution of borders, La canta delle marane follows a group of boys playing on the riverside in the suburbs of Rome. It takes the form of a visual poem dedicated to that peripheral area, which played an important role in Pier Paolo Pasolini’s narratives. The film draws inspiration from Pasolini’s novel, Ragazzi di vita [The Hustlers].
