\"State<\/p>\n

Organised in collaboration with Creative Europe Desks, each edition of State of the Art aims at launching a debate on an industry topic, which will be analysed together with experts. In 2021,in collaboration with the Creative Europe Desks MEDIA from Portugal and the participation of the MEDIA desk from Croatia and the Czech Republic, the topic will be the distribution of films in alternative circuits. An afternoon with speakers, discussions and group work, intending to contribute to a wider discussion about the European film market.<\/p>\n

Expanded Documentary: Alternative Circulation Strategies<\/h3>\n

The term \u2018circulation\u2019 can be seen as a heterogeneous prism through which it\u2019s possible to discover different and new perspectives. It invites to think in terms of plurality, exchanges and permeability between different institutions. This panel will stimulate a discussion, intended to challenge and expand the various approaches to moving images circulation, focussing on documentaries, by bringing together representatives of some of the most important and crucial cultural institutions promoting the circulation of films and contributing to the increasing strategic role played by art spaces in the promotion of cinema.<\/p>\n

\nAnne Mik\u00e9l Jensen<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Kunsthal Charlottenborg<\/span> (Denmark)
\n<\/span>She holds a bachelor of arts degree in cultural studies from the University of Leeds, a master in art history and visual culture from the Copenhagen University as well as a master in curating from the Aarhus University. She is currently a programmer at Kunsthal Charlottenborg, in Copenhagen, where she curates and manages the content of the Charlottenborg Art Cinema, which screens documentaries and art films and hosts audio projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

An\u017ee Per\u0161in<\/strong>
\nStenar Projects (Portugal)
\nAn\u017ee Per\u0161in has 18 years of experience in film. He worked on commercial film production throughout Southern Europe, Middle East and North Africa, and owned a commercial production company in Lisbon. Since 2015, he\u2019s been developing Stenar Projects, a Portuguese production platform for artists\u2019 films that supports novel film practices through development, funding, production and distribution.<\/p>\n

Chema Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>
\nNational Museum Reina Sofia Art Center (Spain)
\nProgrammer, commissioner and cultural worker who explores the relations between contemporary art and moving image. He is an audio-visual curator in the fields of film essay, political documentary film, experimental film and authorial film at the Queen Sofia Museum, where he is responsible for the film and video programming since 2012 as head of the cultural and audio-visual activities.<\/p>\n

Ivan Peri\u0107
\n<\/strong>Kino Klub Split (Croatia)
\nIvan Peri\u0107 is a film producer and director from Split, Croatia. He holds a master\u2019s degree in sociology another in film and media arts from the Art Academy in Split. He is a member of the Split film club. He produced and directed several short and feature films, as well as documentaries and experimental films, which have participated at numerous film festivals around the world and for which he has won several awards.<\/p>\n

Ivana Formanov\u00e1<\/strong>
\nKineDok (Czechia)
\nSince 2013, she has been involved in the production and programming of several film festivals, exhibitions and cultural events in the Czech Republic and abroad. Since 2015, she has been the head of the Industry 4Science section at the Academia Film Olomouc (AFO) international documentary film festival. She is currently the manager of the alternative documentary distribution project KineDok, one of the activities of the Institute of Documentary Film.<\/p>\n

Nuno Rodrigues<\/strong>
\nSolar – Cinematic Art Gallery (Portugal)
\nCurator and festival programmer. Co-founder and artistic director of the international film festival Curtas Vila do Conde. In 1999, founded Ag\u00eancia \u2013 Portuguese Short Film Agency, where he handles the promotion and distribution of Portuguese short films on international markets. Director of the Solar Cinematic Art Gallery since 2005, curating numerous exhibitions. Vice-president of Short Circuit, a network for film and video art distribution in Europe, since 2013.<\/p>\n
