In 1978, Jorge Cafrune, musician and Argentinian folklore icon, set out on horseback to cross the country to pay tribute to the liberator general, José de San Martín. On the first night on the road, he was hit by a van. Some believe that the crime was ordered by a far-right group, but the circumstances around his death remain unsolved. This film looks into some of the moments and events that, in time, would make the myth of Cafrune. We delve on his musical genius, his legacy and his relationships with folklore icons like Ariel Ramírez, Mercedes Sosa, José Larralde and Atahualpa Yupanqui.
