Writer Pierre Guyotat, whom Foucault and Barthes considered an essential figure, left us in 2020. Jacques Kebadian, a prominent filmmaker and assistant director to Bresson, had the trust of the author to capture scenes from his life at home between 2002 and 2009. He offers himself unrestrainedly to attentive filming, giving us a glimpse of the intimacy of his work. The text itself is the protagonist here. Guyotat comments on his library and writes the book, working out a text aloud, in hypnotizing dictation. The process of building each sentence happens before our eyes.
