An experimental documentary animation in the traditional Japanese technique of sending secret messages called aburidashi, the film depicts a change of the director’s perspective over a period of ten years. Reflecting about an individual and collective experience, he addresses what it means to be a father and to be a son and how to express anger (about the 2011 earthquake in Japan) or fear of ongoing war. Dedicated to the memory of his father, Shirouyasu Suzuki, a pioneer of Japanese personal cinema (15 days, 1980), the film features his autobiographical poem Remembering the Bombing of Tokyo.
