When and where will the next festival take place?
The 22nd edition of Doclisboa – International Film Festival will take place from Thursday 17th to Sunday 29th October 2024. The Festival will take place in Lisbon, in its usual venues: Culturgest, Cinema São Jorge, Cinemateca Portuguesa – Museu do Cinema, Cinema Ideal and Casa do Comum.
How can I buy tickets?
Tickets for the screenings must be purchased directly from the box office of the respective venue (Culturgest, Cinema São Jorge, Cinemateca Portuguesa and Cinema Ideal).
Tickets for the screenings go on sale on October 3rd at Culturgest, Cinemateca Portuguesa and Cinema Ideal, and on October 4th at Cinema São Jorge.
You can buy tickets online from October 3rd at doclisboa.org. For the screenings at Cinema Ideal, tickets will only be available online until the day before the screening (on the day of the screening, tickets must be purchased at the box office).
Tickets can also be bought at Ticketline partner outlets (for screenings at Culturgest and Cinema Ideal), Blueticket partner outlets (for screenings at Cinema São Jorge) and BOL partner outlets (for screenings at Cinemateca Portuguesa).
Are there any discounts?
Yes. You can find all information about ticket discounts here from October 3rd.
Are there vouchers?
You can buy voucher packs for 5, 10 or 20 tickets, which gives a discount on the value of each individual ticket. The Doclisboa voucher pack can be purchased at Culturgest or Cinema São Jorge and is valid for all sessions (except opening and closing sessions and the exergue – on documenta 14 screening).
Vouchers can only be exchanged for tickets at the box office of the respective venue and are subject to the seats available for the session.
No exchanges are possible once the ticket has been issued.
The voucher pack allows you to collect more than one ticket for each session, so you can buy vouchers with your friends!
Programme
Are the films subtitled? In which languages?
Besides rare exceptions, all the films in Doclisboa are subtitled in both English and Portuguese when they are not spoken in one of these languages. In that case, they will be either subtitled in English or Portuguese.
Where can I find information about the films?
The complete program is available here. You can check the dates, times and venues of the sessions in our online program, as well as in the printed journals available in various locations throughout Lisbon. There are also several activities open to the public, such as talks and workshops, which you can consult here.
Are there activities for children and young people?
There are several cinema sessions that are contextualized by our Educational Project and also DOCS4KIDS workshops for the youngest, whether accompanied by teachers or parents. You can consult all the information here.

How can I submit my film?
The call for entries for the next edition of Doclisboa will open in January 2024. More information about the registration process will be available here on our website.
