When and where will the next festival take place?
The 21st edition of Doclisboa – International Film Festival will take place from Thursday 19th to Sunday 29th October 2021. The Festival will take place in Lisbon, in its usual venues: Culturgest, Cinema São Jorge, Cinemateca Portuguesa – Museu do Cinema and Cinema Ideal.
How can I buy tickets?
Os bilhetes para as sessões de cinema deverão ser adquiridos diretamente na bilheteira da respetiva sala (Culturgest, Cinema São Jorge, Cinema Ideal e Cinemateca Portuguesa).
Os bilhetes estão à venda a partir de 27 de Setembro na Culturgest, no Cinema Ideal e na Cinemateca Portuguesa, e 9 de Outubro no Cinema São Jorge.
Poderá também comprar bilhetes online no site a partir de 27 de Setembro, no caso da Cinemateca Portuguesa e Cinema Ideal estará disponível apenas até ao dia anterior à sessão (no próprio dia, o bilhete deverá ser adquirido na respectiva bilheteira).
Are there any discounts?
Yes. You can find all information about ticket discounts from the 27th of September.
What is a voucher?
You can buy vouchers for 5, 10 or 20 tickets, which gives a discount on the value of each individual ticket. The Doclisboa voucher can be purchased at Culturgest or Cinema São Jorge and is valid for all sessions. The voucher can only be exchanged for tickets to Cinemateca Portuguesa and Cinema Ideal at the central ticket offices and until the day before the session. The voucher allows you to collect more than one ticket for each session, so you can buy vouchers with your friends and go together to the same session!
Programme
Are the films subtitled? In which languages?
Besides rare exceptions, all the films in Doclisboa are subtitled in both English and Portuguese when they are not spoken in one of these languages. In that case, they will be either subtitled in English or Portuguese.
Where can I find information about the films?
The complete program is available here. You can check the dates, times and venues of the sessions in our online program, as well as in the printed journals available in various locations throughout Lisbon. There are also several activities open to the public, such as talks and workshops, which you can consult here.
Are there activities for children and young people?
There are several cinema sessions that are contextualized by our Educational Project and also DOCS4KIDS workshops for the youngest, whether accompanied by teachers or parents. You can consult all the information here.

How can I submit my film?
The call for entries for the next edition of Doclisboa will open in January 2024. More information about the registration process will be available here on our website.
