Emerging from the shadows of the rubber boom, the forgotten stories of two indigenous men, Omarino and Aredomi, are brought to light in a sensory journey that intertwines the filmmaker’s personal story with early 20th-century Amazonian archives. The film is a cinematic ritual that explores the boundaries of research and speculation, reflecting on themes of power, memory, reparations, and the profound dialogue between the living and the dead. Using hand-processed super 8mm imagery, it proposes an alternative history of the colonial project.
