Nebulae stands out as a space for reflection, encounter and thought on contemporary cinema through a curated programme of activities and projects that engage in a dialogue with the films in the programme and with institutions that support the creation, development and distribution of works.
In 2026, we welcome Greece as our invited country in partnership with the Hellenic Film & Audiovisual Centre and with support from the Greek Embassy in Portugal, presenting a number of selected projects and bringing together international industry professionals.
In partnership with the Portugal Film Commission, Nebulae promotes the Showcase of Portuguese Projects, dedicated to films in the editing stage, thus boosting the international visibility of Portuguese cinema and fostering new opportunities for collaboration and distribution.
Arché, Apordoc’s development and creative research laboratory, supports fourteen Ibero-American projects through mentoring and workshops. As part of this initiative, RAW—developed in partnership with the Márgenes Festival (Madrid)—continues a collaboration focused on creative processes, criticism and research.
In collaboration with UnionDocs – Center for Documentary Art, in New York, the Filmmaking Seminar offers four intensive days of training and analysis for students and professionals interested in exploring new languages of non-fiction cinema.
The Constellations return with a series of talks, performances and events open to the public, developed in partnership with several educational, artistic and research institutions, fostering a space for dialogue around cinematic practices.
