Created in 2019, Nebulae is Doclisboa’s Industry Space, focused on networking, project development and the circulation of independent non-fiction cinema. It brings together a set of activities — meetings, presentations and working sessions — that support the development and visibility of projects.
As part of a festival dedicated to contemporary non-fiction cinema, Nebulae connects filmmakers, producers and institutions, creating space for exchange and collaboration, particularly between Portugal, Europe and the Ibermedia countries (Latin America, Portugal and Spain), while remaining open to other territories.
Since its launch, Nebulae has welcomed more than 1,200 film professionals from over 70 countries, including representatives from institutions and festivals such as MoMA, Cannes Film Festival, Locarno Film Festival, FIDMarseille, Visions du Réel, Sundance Institute, European Film Market and UnionDocs.
Nebulae aims to support concrete opportunities for projects and professionals, contributing to their development and international circulation.
