Diary of My Revolution
In 1973, the writer Ricardo Piglia traveled to China and kept a diary for over a month, recording his impressions of a trip that would unexpectedly become a way of reading the future. Guided by that gaze, Diary of My Revolution discovers today’s China.

Behold the Man
In the heart of Minho, during Braga’s Holy Week, Chico meets the gaze of a bare saint. When the stone comes to life, desire seeps into the ritual. Between faith and flesh, time stands still during the night-long procession.

Fire Drill
Mercenary El Tuerto arrives in Guayaquil to hack the surveillance system and track the city’s fires. However, the flames draw him into an intimate investigation, in which pyromaniacs and imaginary jaguars reveal the city’s true story.

Languid Gothic
Ena arrives in Barcelona on a research grant, investigating a Venezuelan writer who used hundreds of pseudonyms. Her academic work takes an unexpected turn when she meets a mysterious woman who may be related to the writer.

Lu nu bokk
Tailor Samba, fisherman Cheikh, cook Gora, artist Souleymane and farmer Thierno have arrived in the heart of Lisbon from Senegal. Living in tents, they form bonds and take collective action, opening new paths of belonging in contemporary Portugal.

Marandúa. Only one land
An urban utopia in the Orinoco-Amazon becomes a military base, erasing the land under colonial plantations in place of the city of the future that never materialised.

The Swift Ones
The Swift Ones revolves around the Criollo horse, mapping its lineage across Argentina—from the present day to the past, and from birth to death. An uncontrollable body spills out of the frame.

That Soul Stealing Device
An early attempt to make a film based on Guido Boggiani’s diaries and unpublished photographs was abandoned after the material was lost. Years later, the project returns, revealing the fractures of cinema, power and the colonial legacy of the gaze.

Tupa não teme
Portrait of Adérito Lopes, also known as Tupa, a Portuguese revolutionary who fought fascism, racism and oppression in ten different countries. A film that blends memory, history and utopia to reflect on political resistance and solidarity in dark times.

Andrés Duque
Filmmaker
His debut film Ivan Z portrays cult filmmaker Iván Zulueta. He has since created self-referential works and intimate portraits like that of composer Oleg Karavaichuk. His award-winning films have screened at major festivals and institutions such as MNCARS, MACBA, MUMOK, and the Hermitage. For over 20 years, he has also taught avant-garde cinema at UAB, UPF, ESCAC, Aalto, and EICTV.

Beli Martínez
Producer
Beli Martínez (A Guarda, 1980) holds a PhD in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Vigo.
She is a producer at Filmika Galaika, a Galician company specialising in auteur cinema, which has produced the latest works by Maureen Fazendeiro (The Seasons), Lois Patiño (Ariel) and Eloy Enciso (Endless Night). Her films have been recognised by juries at festivals such as Venice, Locarno and Donosti, among others.

João Nicolau
Director
João Nicolau works as a film director, film editor, musician and actor. He directed the features TECHNOBOSS (2019), JOHN FROM (2015) and THE SWORD AND THE ROSE (2010). He also directed short films, documentaries and videoclips. He’s currently working on THE PROVIDENCE AND THE GUITAR (feature, 2026) and JOHN IN CHRIST (documentary, 2026). He plays with the bands THE SECRET MUSEUM OF MANKIND and SILENCE IS A BOY.
