Dry milk, rice, water. Stories from the South are stirred together. Rosa arrives in the Desert. To avoid dying of thirst, she must learn to put down roots. The Desert is not a desert. It is penetrated in search of treasures. Water awaits in the wound.

Andrés Duque
FilmmakerHis debut film, Ivan Z, portrays cult filmmaker Iván Zulueta. He has since made self-referential works and intimate portraits such as the one on composer Oleg Karavaichuk. His award-winning films have been screened at major festivals and institutions such as MNCARS, MACBA, MUMOK and Hermitage. He’s been teaching avant-garde film history for more than 20 years at UAB, UPF, ESCAC, Aalto and EICTV.
Ivette Liang
ProducerHas directed the production chair at EICTV since 2018 and led the Nuevas Miradas project development lab since 2019. Producer and co-founder of Galaxia 311. Has worked across Latin America and Europe, developing international co-productions. Has served as a consultant and selection committee member for major film labs and markets.
Mariana Gaivão
Filmmaker and EditorStarted her career as a film editor, collaborating on films awarded at Cannes, Berlin, Venice and Locarno. Her short films have been screened and awarded at IFFR, Palm Springs ShortFest, ICA London, ZINEBI Bilbao and Curtas Vila do Conde, among many others. Was a programmer at the Queer Lisboa and Doclisboa festivals, and is a guest lecturer at the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University.
