Jumpgate

Jumpgate is a dedicated space for European producers from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience in film production. Its main goal is to foster the exchange of professional experiences, inspire new ideas and practices, and encourage collaborative projects and co-productions.

Around 20 producers from the Benelux countries, France and Portugal will come together to share their experiences and reflections on working practices, laying the groundwork for future collaborations.

In 2025, Jumpgate will be moderated by Portuguese producer Barbara Valentina Moura, whose career in film production spans more than 20 years. The professionals participating in the Jumpgate programme joined a visit to film locations in Lisbon, organised by the Portugal Film Commission.

Programme supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, the Portugal Film Commission, the Institut Français du Portugal and the Goethe-Institut.

Jumpgate is also an initiative supported by the Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères and the Institut français, as part of the international promotion strategy for cultural and creative industries through the PICC scheme.

Bárbara Valentina Moura

With a career in film production spanning more than 20 years, she has worked as an executive producer, line producer and project development coordinator, producing and developing several documentaries and fiction films for various production companies such as David & Golias, Terratreme, and Leopardo Filmes. She teaches at ETIC, on the HN – Cinema and Television course, and at World Academy, on the Cinema & TV production course, Documentary module.

Wang Vincent

Producer

Born in Taiwan and raised in France from age 13, Vincent Wang has built bridges between Asian and European cinema. From his early collaboration with Tsai Ming Liang The Wayward Cloud (Berlinale 2005) Stray Dogs, (Venice 2013) to founding House on Fire in Paris and Taipei, he supports both masters and new voices. Recent highlights include Wang Bing’s Youth trilogy, ( Cannes 2023) The Shameless (Cannes 2024) and Black Tea (Berlinale 2024).

Orlane Dumas

Producer

Orlane began producing creative documentaries in 2018, at L’image d’après, where she has since produced four films. In 2020, she founded Les films de l’AubeSauvage, whose latest film, Lo by Thanassis Vassiliou, co-produced with StudioBauhaus (Gr), won awards at Thessaloniki IDF and Beyond Borders. She is a lecturer in a bachelor’s degree in production and a member of the administrative board of PARC, association of producers in the Centre region.

François Martin-Saint-Léon

Producer

François Martin Saint Léon holds master degrees in public law and film law from Lyon 2 and Lyon 3 Universities. He founded Barberousse Films in 2015. Since then, the company has produced around 40 films that have been selected and won awards at major festivals.

Andrea Queralt

Producer

Born in Spain, based in Paris, since 2015 she is part of 4A4 Productions, where she has coproduced features such as SIRAT by Oliver Laxe (Jury Prize Cannes Competiton 2025), MARE’S NEST by Ben Rivers (Locarno Competition 2025) PEPE by Nelson Carlo de los Santos Arias (Silver Bear Berlinale 2024), FOREMOST BY NIGHT by Victor Iriarte (Venice Days, 2023) or FIRE WILL COME by Oliver Laxe, (Jury Prize Cannes Un Certain Regard 2019).

Maxime Coton

Director, Producer

Maxime Coton (b. 1986, Belgium) is a filmmaker, sound engineer, and published author. With degrees in multimedia (INSAS) and information science (ULB), he creates documentaries, radio works, and experimental films. His work explores memory, industry, and territory, earning numerous awards and international festival selections.

Lennart Stuyck

Producer

Laurence Buelens, Belgian producer-director, founded Rayuela Productions in 2014. She has produced creative documentaries for a decade and short fiction since 2019. Her films have been selected at major festivals such as Hot Docs or DOK Leipzig, with a latest feature doc earning a 2023 Belgian Academy Awards nomination. A member of DAE, she is also an alumna of Rotterdam Lab 2023 and Eurodoc 2024.

Manon Bovenkerk

Founder near/by film

Manon Bovenkerk founded near/by film in 2018 to produce films in all formats, with distinctive, often underrepresented stories that are developed into formally daring shapes. The focus is on new talent and first and second feature films by international directors from Brazil, (Eastern) Europe and West-Asia. Her films are screened and awarded internationally at a.o. Berlinale, Locarno, Sole Luna Doc, DOC NYC, Hamptons IFF and Documenta Madrid.

Sander Verdonk

Producer, Mananging Partner - New Ams Film Company

Sander Verdonk (1980) is a founding partner of New Amsterdam Film Company and has produced more than 20 feature films and documentaries. He is an alumnus of the Dutch Film Academy, EAVE Producers Workshop, MEDIA Business School, Power to the Pixel Lab and IDFA Producers Workshop. Sander is also a member of the Dutch Academy For Film, the European Film Academy and an advisor to the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts.

Lukas Berg

Founded in 2018 in Luxembourg by photographer, director and producer Fabrizio Maltese, Joli Rideau Media is a production company specialising in creative documentary with a strong auteurial take and selected arthouse fiction. With a boutique spirit, the company chooses hand-picked projects from both established or burgeoning filmmakers, offering the

appropriate instruments for their endeavours.

Nina Payrhuber

Associate Directors

Nina Payrhuber is a young and ambitious producer, part of Associate Directors since 2022. With a background as historian she has diverse production and research experience. As junior producer she participated in IDFAcademy 2022 and INTRO:DOX 2024 of CPH:DOX. She has supervised several long and short doc’s at Associate Directors, both local and international films. She also works as impact producer, affiliated with the Flemish initiative Filmpact.

Annabella Nezri

CEO and Producer at KWASSA FILMS

After studying Political Science and Law at the University of Brussels, she decided to throw herself into what she’s passionate about: cinema.  With more than ten years of experience in film production in various companies, she founded Kwassa Films in 2014.  It aims to promote creative, engaged, and accessible projects to wide audience. It also wishes to contribute to the emergence of young Belgian talents on the international stage.

Corinne van Egeraat

Producer and filmmaker

Corinne van Egeraat is a Dutch independent documentary filmmaker and producer. With her husband, Czech-Canadian filmmaker Petr Lom, they make creative documentaries about injustice and Rights of Nature. Their award-winning films have shown at Berlinale, IDFA, Sundance and Venice, screened at 400+ festivals and broadcast in 20+ countries. In 2022 she produced Myanmar Diaries, winner of the Berlinale Documentary Award. She is an AMPAS member.

Tim Martens

Co-Founder Krater Films

Tim Martens is active in the filmindustry since 2005, first as producer for Lumière, a Benelux based production and distribution company for which he (co)produced international TV shows as The Team, Occupied and State of Hapiness and films like Mal de Pierre. Since 2019, he started with Maarten D’hollander the independent filmproduction company Krater Films, with a focus on artistic and author driven films and documentaries.

Alice Royoux

Producer, Project Manager

Alice Royoux studied literature and cultural and artistic studies in Poitiers (France), Leipzig and Potsdam (Germany). In Berlin, se started working for museums and galleries such as the KW Institute for Contemporary Art and many more. In 2018 for several television programs for arte before joining AMOUR FOU in 2021. Since 2024, she is a project manager, supervising documentaries and feature films in Austria and Cineworld projects in Luxemburg.”

Chris Neumann

Producer/Director -Wild Fang Films

Christian Neuman is a Luxembourg-based producer, director, and writer with extensive experience in Film, TV and XR production. As the founder and CEO of Wild Fang Films, he has spearheaded international co-productions, including TV series, feature films, and immersive XR experiences. Christian holds a Master’s degree in Film from The London Film School, and has directed various award winning short films and two feature films.

Fabrizio Maltese

Founder of Joli Rideau Media

Italian-Luxembourger documentary filmmaker and producer with a background in award-winning photography, he has directed five feature-length documentaries premiering at major festivals. Founder of Joli Rideau Media, he supports bold, cross-genre storytelling with several international co-productions. He is a European Film Academy and ULPA member and has served on juries and industry programs worldwide.

Renata Sancho

Producer & Distributor / Cedro Plátano

Renata Sancho was born in April 1973, she works and lives in Lisbon. Since 2013 she has been the manager of Cedro Plátano (production & distribution Company). The production company is dedicated to experimental auteur cinema, documentaries and/or fiction. Its films have been screened at Yamagata, Doclisboa and Documenta, among other festivals, and have won awards and been released in cinemas.She is also a documentary director, and works editor.

Maria João Mayer

Producer / Founder - Maria & Mayer

Maria João Mayer produced acclaimed films such as Diamantino, São Jorge, Montanha and Ivone Kane, showcased in Cannes, Venice and San Sebastián. She has collaborated with masters like Manoel de Oliveira and supported emerging voices including João Salaviza, Gabriel Abrantes, Marco Martins and Cláudia Varejão. In 2015 she received the “Women Creators of Culture” Award and since 2022 is a member of the European Producers Club.

Andreia Martins

Producer - Maria & Mayer

Andreia Martins began her career in television and film as an editor and colourist, roles she held for 15 years. She is currently a producer and post-production coordinator at Maria & Mayer, a production company whose catalogue includes acclaimed titles such as Diamantino, São Jorge, Montanha and Yvone Kane.

Isabel Pestana

Producer - Head of Development at Maria & Mayer

Desde 2021, lidera o desenvolvimento de projectos na Maria & Mayer, pré-selecionando ficção e documentário para cinema e televisão. Trabalha com argumentistas e realizadores na estrutura dos projectos e define a estratégia de financiamento. Fernando Vendrell

Studied at Film School and has worked in film production for almost 25 years in Portugal. An eclectic profile that balances artistic skills, creativity, intuition, and a charismatic personal sensitivity. The management of the company David & Golias is based on the strength of original ideas and the ability to produce through new and distinctive methods, with creative talent and skilled technical crews.

Gonçalo Galvão Teles

Producer and Director

Graduated in Law from the University of Lisbon and holding a Master’s degree in Writing for Film and Television from the University of Southern California, Gonçalo Galvão Teles won the Cartoon d’Or (Best European Animated Film Award) for the screenplay of the animated short film A Suspeita. The film received over 30 awards, including Best Screenplay, Best Portuguese Film, and the International Critics Award at Cinanima. Since then, he has established himself as a screenwriter, director, and producer, playing a prominent role in numerous film productions.
