This year, Doclisboa celebrates its 20th anniversary! We are preparing a very special edition and look forward to welcoming you to Lisbon.
From 6th to 16th of October, we will spread our festivities throughout the city. We will celebrate the two decades of existence of Doclisboa and, above all, free, attentive and diverse cinema as always.
In October the whole world fits in Lisbon and this year it will be no different: from the retrospective The Colonial Question, that looks at the colonial past of both Portugal and France, exploring the diversity of cinematographic representations that witnessed the colonial world and the several independence movements, to the retrospective of Brazilian filmmaker Carlos Reichenbach, one of the protagonists of the extravagant and provocative Brazilian Marginal Cinema, organized in partnership with Cinemateca Portuguesa and with the support of Acervo Heco Produções.
Nebulae – Doclisboa’s networking space, will also return with an even more grounded edition for all those who want to know what’s new in the industry from 11th to 16th of October. We will welcome France as Invited Country and showcase many new projects, as well as offering a wide variety of debates, workshops, among many other activities.
We invite you to discover the projects selected in Arché, 12 projects in different stages of development from Ibero-american countries, and France – Invited Country, a selection of 5 French produced and co-produced projects, along with projects from our previous invited countries (Germany, Georgia, Croatia).
And, of course, the Doc ❤ ️Beat parties will be back to shake our nights.
