A Bronx Morning

Jay Leyda

In 1930 Leyda moved to NYC to assist Ralph Steiner. This intimate register of a New York borough earned Leyda a fellowship to study with Sergei Eisenstein in Moscow, leading to his lifelong engagement with the director and Soviet and Chinese film.
