The Garden Cadences

Jone is ready to fly. She finds herself at the beginning of something new, but before she moves on, there needs to be closure. Jone is one of Mollies, a queer-feminist collective that had been living for a decade at a trailer park next to Ostkreuz, Berlin. The Garden Cadences traces their last summer before being evicted. A moment of transition, of uprooting. The film’s carefully framed images observe the community as an ecosystem, subject to seasons of growth, change and entropy like the city it is enmeshed within.
