Joaquim Jordà programme selects María Aparicio e Andrés Jurado

María Aparicio and Andrés Jurado are the directors selected for the third call of the Joaquim Jordà Residency Programme.

Last night, the jury’s decision was announced at Doclisboa – International Film Festival, which chose these two projects that examine regional and political history through the use of archives.

The jury was made up of Paula Astorga (Doclisboa), Tsveta Dobreva and Cyril Neirat (FIDMarseille), Amanda de la Garza and Chema González (Museo Reina Sofía) and Gonzalo de Pedro (independent). María Aparicio (Córdoba, 1992) was selected for a project that proposes a sensitive approach to film memory, the ethics of images and how these concepts influence interpersonal relationships. Andrés Jurado (Bogotá, 1980) was selected for a project that uses archive material for experimental purposes, superimposing different aspects of Colombian history and memory.
