Constellation: Practices for creating and producing films in a sustainable way

This table is dedicated to sustainable film production practices. The aim is to analyse ways of integrating sustainability into production processes, as well as considering responsible and community management models, the distribution of works, and social impact.

With support from the Embassy of Spain in Portugal and the Pompeu Fabra University.

The session will be held in English, with no translation. Free admittance.

Speakers

Ana Marques

(Portugal Film Commission)

Ana holds a degree in Communication and a Master’s in Cinema and Television. She began her career at RTP in 1989, worked as a freelance producer, director, and screenwriter, and since May 2023 is Executive Director of the Portugal Film Commission.

Beli Martínez

(producer)

Beli Martínez (A Guarda, 1980) holds a PhD in Audiovisual Communication and produces at Filmika Galaika, focused on auteur cinema. She produced award-winning films by Fazendeiro, Patiño, and Enciso, shown at Venice, Locarno, and Donosti.

Eva Vila Purtí

(director)

Filmmaker and director of the Master’s in Documentary Filmmaking (UPF-BSM). Founder of Araki Films. She has been recognized as “one of the great filmmakers of our country.” With Syntony (2026), she completes a trilogy about Barcelona.

(General Director of the UPF Barcelona School of Managemen - Universitat Pompeu Fabra)

Prof. Dr. José M. Martínez-Sierra, Director General and Provost at UPF Barcelona School of Management, holds a Jean Monnet Chair and serves on international boards in Europe, India, the USA, and Singapore on Sustainability, education, and technology.
