Released in 1982, Fernando Trueba’s second feature is now presented in a version restored by ECAM from the original 16mm negative. Son of Falangist writer Rafael Sánchez Mazas, songwriter and philosopher Chicho Sánchez Ferlosio devoted himself to writing anti-Franco resistance songs. By then withdrawn from political and social life, he is portrayed in his daily life and reflections alongside his partner Rosa, through his songs. The film moves freely between a documentary portrait, a musical film, a philosophical conversation and a comedy, while the shoot itself becomes part of the film.
