The Doc Alliance network has announced the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF) as its guest festival for 2026. The decision was made at the network’s annual meeting in December 2025, marking the conclusion of the collaboration with the 2025 guest festival, Punto de Vista.
As a Doc Alliance guest festival, GAIFF will take part in joint meetings and activities focused on key topics such as education, emerging talent development, XR programming, inclusion, and sustainability. The festival will also nominate one short and one feature-length documentary film for the Doc Alliance Award and co-select the 2026 jury.
Founded in 2004, GAIFF is held annually in Yerevan, Armenia, and is known for its cross-cultural approach, bringing together fiction and documentary cinema from around the world.
The shortlisted films for the 2026 Doc Alliance Award will be announced in late April, with the winners revealed at Cannes Docs during the Marché du Film in May (12—20) 2026.
