Free and credited training for teachers and educators that will feature sessions with the CinEd platform and Doc Escolas sessions (chosen according to the willingness of the teachers), expecting to film to generate pedagogical tools to develop curricular content.

Meeting with the teachers
Presenting the programme, pedagogical tools and a participatory methodology that seeks to lead the student to find out for himself by posing him questions, to watch a film through the lenses of the cinematic creation process, and to see, listen and feel that to which he usually doesn’t pay attention. A trainer from the Education Project will suggest Doc Escolas sessions according to the pedagogical fields of the participants.

Session with teachers and students
Screening of films from the CinEd collection in the presence of students. A dialogue between filmmakers, teachers and students on the film and citizenship issues that can be found in each of the films.

Meeting with the teachers
Interim assessment session on the work developed by the teachers in the scope of their autonomous work, and suggestion of other pedagogical tips to be applied based on the questions they raised and on suggestions from the programme’s pedagogical booklets. Contents from the Doc Escolas sessions will also be discussed.

Session with teachers and students
Second screening-discussion with films from the CinEd platform in the presence of students, putting into practice this project’s methodology, and establishing a path between the films, on the one hand, and film and citizenship issues they suggest or raise, on the other hand.
NOV 26 (sat) / 10.00 am, Cinemateca Júnior
Final meeting with the teachers
Final assessment of the workshop, presenting and reflecting upon the works made by the students with whom the trainee teachers worked in the scope of their autonomous work, and discussion about the shared workshop experience.
