Reichenbach’s first completed film. A portrait full of irony of Rua Augusta, the main shopping street in São Paulo, in the late 1960s, that was also an epicentre of alternative culture. The extravagant storefronts, the control by the police, painter Waldomiro de Deus trying to sell his paintings, youngsters dancing to the Beatles. Reichenbach stresses the existing conflict between conservatism and progressiveness at the time.
Producer Sara Silveira will be present in the screening. She co-founded with Carlos Reichenbach the production company Dezenove Som e Imagens.
