During the 2020 confinement, Lucrecia Martel returns to her hometown in Salta, a conservative region in Argentina. There, she follows Julieta Laso, who like a muse introduces her to a group of women artists who challenge the opinions of others around bonfires. In this film, Martel deepens Julieta’s enticing voice.
