The follow-up to Maan muisti and Yksitoista ihmisen kuvaa concludes the philosophical trilogy in which the filmmakers return to the subject of the meaning of life. Kadotettu paratiisi [Lost Paradise] is the title of one of their films, but also a recurrent idea in their oeuvre. “The concept of sacredness is approached from various angles. Representatives of different religions and indigenous peoples, as well as researchers, reflect on it. What is sacredness, and what can be considered sacred? Sacredness is not only reserved for the divine, but can also be found in history and in nature” (Sirje Niitepõld).
