Focused on the life of Yaptik’s nomadic family in Eastern Siberia from 1992 to 2001, this is a film about a mother and a daughter. The two women wander from one tent to another, from family to family, in search of a place in the tundra that they could call their own. Their ancestors had to run away after committing an evil deed. The ghost of the past still haunts the family, who eventually lose everything they had. This independent sequel to Kadotettu paratiisi revisits the protagonists of the earlier film. Unlike the colour images from the past, the new footage was shot in black and white.
