Fire of Wind

Fogo do Vento

Marta Mateus

The vines have borne fruit, and it’s harvest time. Soraia, a young girl, cuts herself. The blood mixes with the wine. A black bull follows her trail. Time stretches at the treetops. Humanity takes shelter beneath the tree trunks, and gathers to share bread, wine, memories and dreams, the history of a landscape and of a struggle. We enter a long night, where nature also speaks. All is on fire; it is the fire of wind that announces the heatwave.
