In 1974, a year before he was executed, revolutionary poet Roque Dalton published an eponymous exploration of Salvadoran identity. At the outbreak of the Civil War (which lasted 12 years), Leduc came to El Salvador to engage in dialogue with this work, gathering the testimonies of the participants of the conflict. The result is an exemplary militant cinema of monumental historical and political importance. Or in his own words: “Elements to know, understand and show solidarity with the people of El Salvador”. Produced by the Unified Popular Action Front of the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front.
