To Our Friends

Sara and Pedro, young adults from a working-class suburb of Madrid, love to raise hell together. But as she starts studying theatre, Sara makes new friends who introduce her to another world. Caught up in a whirlwind of love and parties, she becomes torn, split between her old friends and the new world she is exposed to as she comes of age. Shot over four years of Sara’s life, from her construction of her own identity, the film constructs a cinematic parallel, transforming its protagonist into its character through the tools of fiction.
