The call is open until May 19 for the 10th edition of ARCHÉ – Creative Thinking and Development Space for new and authorial film projects in development, organized by Apordoc – Associação pelo Documentário and which will take place between October 20 and 24 2024, during Doclisboa – International Film Festival.
The program of this important laboratory for emerging documentary cinema includes project development workshops with tutors, project presentation sessions, meetings with industry agents and round tables integrated into Nebulae – Doclisboa’s industry space, among other activities. Participants will also compete for the ARCHÉ awards, which aim to boost the production and completion of projects.
ARCHÉ is open to filmmakers from Latin American countries, Portugal, Spain and Italy, with film projects with a strong implication in reality, based on documentaries, which experiment with the potential and limits of this very nature.
ARCHÉ has the support of the Ibermedia Program.

RAW RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Applications for the sixth edition of RAW: Arché→Work Residencies itinerant program are also open until May 19. Organized by Apordoc and the Márgenes Film Festival (Madrid), this programme is aimed at filmmakers with a film project in development, and to critics or researchers with a research project in the field of non-fiction cinema. Like ARCHÉ, RAW is also open to participants from Portugal, Spain, Italy and Latin American countries.
The projects selected for RAW will take part in Arché (Oct 20-24) during Doclisboa and in Márgenes/Work, the Márgenes festival’s workspace (Nov 26-30). In between these two moments, the participants will have an artistic residence in Lisbon (Oct 25 to Nov 25) to work on their projects, with guidance from tutors and professionals, in a program aimed towards collective reflection and creation that will also stimulate closer ties between the participants.
RAW is an innovative creative development and training program focused on audiovisual projects with a strong authorial character, with special attention to non-fiction and experimentation.
Registration is free and must be done via this link.
