An orphan of the country where he was born, an orphan of the Portuguese state. Imprisoned for half of his life, yet always free. Bruno is ‘Ghoya’, a Cape-Verdean Creole rapper and political activist. This film is a crossroads in a time of struggle and life. “Complô emerged from a deep sense of engagement with Bruno, his community, his history and the political struggle they embody. I never intended to remain an outside observer. My approach is grounded in building relationships that evolve into collaboration” (João Miller Guerra).
