Sorella di Clausura

Stela is a 36-year-old woman with a higher education who is incapable of holding down a job. Since she was little, she has been in love with a Serbian musician from the former Yugoslavia, a Balkan superstar. Vera, a starlet musician, promises Stela that she will help her meet her idol, rescue her from her impoverished rural life, and bring her to Bucharest, where she sells sex products and lubricants. The story takes place at the end of the euphoria that preceded the financial crisis, when Romania had just been admitted to the European Union and money and credit were plentiful, and during the recession that followed.
