Narrated by Maya Hawke and featuring footage culled from hundreds of sources (from TV commercials to blockbuster films), Videoheaven tells the story of an industry’s glorious, confusing, novel, sometimes seedy, but undeniably seismic impact on movie culture. A true passion project, eleven years in the making, it reflects on VHS rental stores as public spaces where anything can happen, from romantic dates and awkward situations to the beginning of beautiful friendships.
