Crossing Voices

Building from rare film, photographic and sound archives, Xaraasi Xanne tells the adventure of Somankidi Coura, a farming cooperative founded in 1977 in Mali by West African workers living in migrant hostels in France at the time. The story of this utopian back-to-land project follows a tortuous path, shedding light, from the 1970s, on the ecological stakes and struggles on the African continent today.
