Along the Bosnian-Croatian border near Velika Kladuša, the paths of mine disposal experts, migrating families and locals cross. This cinematographic essay centres around this region, exploring themes of displacement, violence, and everyday life. It delves into scars that break open, war memories from the 1990s that are awakened, and profound encounters between people. A portrait of a perhaps inconsolable, haunted landscape, as if in the throes of a nightmare. But also, a portrait of human resilience and warmth. A bright flicker in the darkness.
