Um é Pouco, Dois é Bom is the first feature film by a Black director from southern Brazil. It comprises two episodes: Com um Pouquinho de Sorte presents the challenges of Jorge and Maria, a couple dreaming of owning their own house and starting a family; in Vida Nova por Acaso, which features the misfortunes of Magrão and Crioulo, Lopez addresses social issues such as racism and the cyclic marginalisation of the two main characters who look forward to a ‘new life’. Unseen version, digitally restored in 4K following a partnership between Cinemateca Capitólio, INDETERMINAÇÕES and Mnemosine Serviços Audiovisuais.
