Lost in her fears and fantasies, a young woman writes in a notebook. A young man finds the notebook on a train. Suddenly, they find themselves in the heart of a forest, in a nocturnal reality where dreams come to life. The French word ‘fantaisie’ contains an entire world and describes this nocturnal film: it is a synonym for imagination and also contains the words ‘phantom’ and ‘fantasy’. It is reminiscent of a musical fantasia written in one breath. It is a documentary dream shaped by the unconscious that explores a raw emotion, desire and the metaphysical nature of love.
