Cinema is a form of hospitality towards the absent. Two films dare to look at the images of loved artists as hypotheses, ready to encounter us now. The House on a Curved Road was the home of Nonoho Suzuki’s father. Through his images of its construction and 2026 records from the empty house, it becomes movement, light, lived time. Laurent Achard made four portraits of filmmakers. In 2023, he started a fifth and left it unfinished. Teicher, the producer and friend, welcomes back Achard through his images: the work of portraying the labour of cinema, the work of companionship.
