Leduc’s first foray into animation is a century-long odyssey into the collective history through the children’s songs, performed by Óscar Chávez, Jaime López and Cecilia Toussaint (see ¿Cómo ves?). The history of a country here is a dream of a sad sparrow in early 3D animation. Leduc creates a new universe, looks for an engaging language beyond words, and ultimately invites young audiences for new imagination about the past and, therefore, the future. What could be simpler but at the same time deeper than showing the social struggles and transformations this way?
